Victory of Iranian revolution displayed impressive power of Islam: Indian Religious Scholar

victreVictory of the 1979 Iranian revolution, led by Imam Khomeini (RA), displayed impressive power of Islam, said an eminent Indian Shia religious scholar in New Delhi on Tuesday.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Syed Hassan Komeili, President of Tafheem-e-Islam said: “The victory of the Iranian revolution, totally based on Islamic values that has taught that in spite of their racial, linguistic and cultural differences, human beings share the same nature, on the 11th February 1979, not only ended the 2500 year old monarchy in the country but also displayed that religion is the way of life of human beings, that conforms to their innate nature. It deals with the internal as well as external weaknesses and constructs a strong wall of protection that could be impregnable”.

He went on to say that since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran by following the said ideology down played imperialism and Zionism. And today the Persian Gulf nation, despite facing all types of threats by the US-led West, has became the new regional power, Hassan added.

“Since the inception of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) has directed that superpowers were illegitimate players in the region and it is the duty of the Islamic governments to offer an alternative perspective to the subjugated population of the world,” noted the religious scholar.

He further noted that Islamic Government of Iran, by following the doctrine of Imam Khomeini (RA), is committed and is playing the pivotal role in establishing peace not only in the region but across the world.

Komeili, expressing solidarity with the Islamic Revolution, urged the Muslim countries of the region not to adopt a negative attitude but to follow the teachings of the Islamic Revolution for coming out from the imperialists and Zionists clutches.
