68 Iraqi Christian Women Remain in ISIL Captivity

A total number of 68 Christian women remain in ISIL captivity since the terrorist group attacked Northern Iraq in 2014.

Ayad Kakayi, a volunteer lawyer who works at the Iraqi criminal court on the case of ISIL atrocities against Kurds, said that they have also recorded the destructions brought by ISIL to Christian holy locations in the Nineveh Plain, BasNews reported.

“We attend the annual conference of the International Criminal Court to present reports on abuses against the minorities in Iraq, including the atrocities carried out against Christians,” Kakayi said.

In mid-2014, thousands of ISIL terrorists stormed into Iraq and seized control of a vast area in the North and West of the country, carrying out massacres against civilians and destroying their holy sites.
