The students of Imam Hassan Askari (AS) School (Old) Rizvia Society Phase-I staged a demonstration outside their School in Karachi to protest against the protracted power outages that also cost their educational life dearly as sweltering temperature made it impossible for them to continue their curricular activities.
The school principal Ambareen Kazmi and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Karachi leaders Allama Mubashir Hassan and Ahsan Rizvi spoke on the occasion. The students carried a huge banner and demanded uninterrupted supply of electricity to their school and their residential areas so that they could continue their curricular activities and enjoy routine life at home as well.
The principal and MWM leaders slammed K-Electric management for its failure to provide uninterrupted electricity to all Karachiites.
They lamented that students appearing in their annual exams and those who have started their new educational year of post-primary middle classes have to sit in class rooms without electricity in sweltering hot days.
On this occasion, students also talked to media persons and requested the government to ensure power supply without outages to Karachiites. They school management and students hailed MWM for support and solidarity with them.
