DIK Shia martyrs anniversary held with Allama Shahenshah Naqvi’s Majlis.
Many Shia Muslims embraced martyrdom in terror attack on February 20, 2009 in Dera Ismail Khan (DIK).
In commemoration of that, DI Khan’s Shia Muslims organize mourning congregations every year.
This year too, they observed the 11th anniversary of the tragedy at Markazi Imam Bargah Hussain (AS) and Markazi Imam Bargah Thalla Bammoon Shah.

Renowned Islamic scholar Allama Syed Shahenshah Naqvi, Zakir Ghulam Abbas, Zakir Imran Khadim and other speakers addressed the mourners.
Allama Shahenshah Naqvi called Dera Ismail Khan, a Karbala-like city in Pakistan.
He said that 5 cities in Pakistan rendered matchless sacrifices for the upholding of Islam while DI Khan remains one of them.
He also saluted DI Khan for offering more martyrdom for the sake of true Islamic ideology.
Moreover, he emphasised the need for unity among Sunni-Shia Muslims.
Karachi-based eminent scholar called Sunnis as brothers of Shia Muslims.
He further aid that this unity of Sunni-Shia Muslims can be seen across Pakistan where both of them live together.
Allama Shahenshah urged all to prevent all those who preach disunity or hatred.
He also exhorted that all attempts should aim at unity and fraternity.
Besides, he also called for avoiding character assassination of qualified scholars.
