Shia Muslims end sit-in after family of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi met him in Camp Jail

Shia Muslims, who began staging sit-in on Monday night outside Camp Jail Lahore, ended their protest after the family members of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi met him and asked them to defer the protest.

Eminent Shia leader Allama Ghulam Raza has spent 18 years behind the bars with no conviction by any Court of Law and when Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) ordered his immediate release on Saturday and Monday, biased pro-takfiri Punjab Government of Shahbaz Sharif ordered his continued detention under the MPO.

The unjust and biased order angered Shia Muslims who had gathered to accord warm welcome to him. On a call from the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Punjab chapter, Shiites began staging sit-in to protest against the continued detention.
