CII head says enemies had hatched conspiracy for Sunni Shia riots in Pakistan.

Qibla Ayaz of Council of Islamic Ideology expressed these views, while speaking to a private TV channel.

He said that they had reports that external enemies had hatched conspiracy to sabotage peace in Moharram.

Furthermore, he said they had made efforts to spark off Sunni-Shia riots in Pakistan because they want to sabotage China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) mega project.

The CII head Qibla Ayaz further said that unfortunately, law is not implemented in the country.

He said that no private militia can initiate armed action as per law.

He further said that suicide attacks are also forbidden.

Moreover, he said declaring Muslims as infidels is not compatible with Islamic principles.

Hence, he called for protecting the spirit of unified Code of Ethics.
