Shia leaders announce shroud rally at CM House
Allama Baqir Zaidi, Allama Shabbir Maisami, Allama Nazir Taqvi, Allama Aqeel Moosa, Allama Asghar Shaheedi, Allama Kamran Abidi, Allama Haider Abbas, Allama Mubashir, Mohammad Abbas and other leaders met in Karachi to discuss future course of action.
In their meeting, they unanimously decided to observe Friday as a day of protest.
They also announced that if the government and police don’t withdraw illegal FIRs, they would take out a rally in which Shia Islamic scholars and notables would shroud themselves.
Shia leaders said their rally would surround Sindh Chief Minister’s CM House on Sunday October 18 if legitimate demands not met.
They reminded the authorities concerned that Arbaeen anniversary mourning processions are brought out every year to commemorate Imam Hussain-led Martyrs of Karbala.
Hence, they declared police cases against participants of such mourning processions as unfair and unjustifiable.
