Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas received Chief of Army Staff at the Line of Control.
During the visit, he stressed upon troops to extend all out support to the local population against unprovoked Indian ceasefire violations.
Army’s relevant officials gave briefing to the Army Chief on the latest operational situation.
Furthermore, the team Pak Army also briefed him on Indian ceasefire violations. They said India was deliberately targeting local residents living near the LoC.
The army chief also interacted with officers and men. He appreciated their performance; especially continued vigil and remarkable operational preparedness.
He urged them to remain steadfast and discharge duties with utmost sincerity and devotion.
Meanwhile, Army Chief vowed to respond firmly to any attempt to destabilize Pakistan.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa made this pledge, while presiding over the 236th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
General Bajwa said that we have paid a heavy price to achieve peace and stability in the country.
