Defying takfiri terrorists threats of attacks, Shia Muslims observe Youm-e-Tasua (9th Muharram) across Pakistan with religious reverence on Saturday.
However, terrorists managed to hit a mourning procession in Dera Ismail Khan where seven azadars including four children were martyred and several others were injured.
Three azadars embraced martyrdom breathing their last due to suffocation in juloos-e-aza (mourning procession) in Rohrhi (Sukkur district) where more than 300,000 participated in the procession.
Shia Muslims began their day with particular “aamal†that included recommended prayers and ziarat in all over Pakistan. Then, they proceeded to main congregations and processions where they beat their chest and voiced Ya Hussain (AS) to mourn the brutal massacre of martyrs of Karbala in 61 A.H.
In Karachi, main congregation was held at Nishtar Park where Hujjat ul Islam Maulana Shahenshah Naqvi addressed a mourning congregation (Majlis-e-aza).
Soon after the Majlis, the mourning procession was brought out. The procession continued throughout the day. First, Shiites gathered at Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khorasan, Numaish Chowrangi and from there they marched to Hussainia Iranian Kharadar via M.A. Jinnah Road, Sadar, Tibet Centre, KMC and Denso Hall.
Noha Khwan recited nohas. Azadars (mourners) massively participated in Youm-e-Tasua procession. They cried, wept and beat their chest to observe matam to mourn the brutalities inflicted on Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Karbala. They also offered namaz-e-zohr and asr during procession.
The shabeeh of coffins, cradles, alam and other tabarukkat were also seen at the procession.
Women, children, youths and elderly persons were chanting Ya Hussain (AS) throughout the procession.
Similar reports were received from Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, Skardu, Hyderabad and almost all small and big cities of Pakistan.
