Two members of banned organization arrested, large number of local and International sims found
Karachi (Shiite news): A special team of Counter Terrorism Department 2 carried out a raid in Mosamiyat and arrested two terrorists of banned Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan and Afghanistan and also found a large number of local and international sims and laptop from their custody. These details were shared by Junaid Sheikh during a press conference on Thursday. He further told that arrested terrorists Muhammad Zareef and Abdul Ghafoor had been running an illegal exchange since 2012 and used to monitor call traffic of different countries. He also told that the criminals had been working under the name of ‘Grey exchange’ in areas of Gulshan e Iqbal, Nipa Chorangi and Momin square and also used to raise funds for Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan and Afghanistan. The terrorists had also been working with their overseas friends in the US, Afghanistan, Canada and other countries regarding extortion money. CTD also found a laptop, 25 Afghan sims, 20-30 local sims of MTN network and cards of cellular network companies from their custody. It has also been found that other companions of these terrorists, including Shah Muhammad, Ali UK wala, Ninety and Yougesh Patel, work for transferring extortion money both within and outside the country. Further investigation with the terrorists is going on.
