Shia leaders accuse police of firing upon women and children

Karachi-based Shia leaders have accused police of attacking peaceful Shia protestors including women and children by opening fire upon them and also resorted to baton charge and tear gas shelling at Malir 15 on Monday.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and former Senator Allama Abbas Kumaili, head of Jafaria Alliance spoke at a joint press conference at Aza Khana-e-Zahra (AS) in Karachi on Monday where they condemned the state-sponsored unjust victimization of peaceful and patriot Shia Muslims. They said that straight fires hit nine innocent Shiites. They said that black sheep within the security officials had diverted the prime focus of National Action Plan from banned terrorist outfits to Shia notables.
They said that government policies were deepening the sense of deprivation among the Shia Muslims. They said that sanctity of privacy and households was violated during raids by security a agency that was totally unacceptable.
