Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan made lame excuses about his meeting with Ahmed Ludhianvi, the ringleader of proscribed ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba) blaming Jamaat-e-Islami for Ludhianvi at that meeting. But, JI wasted no time to retort pointing accusing fingers upon the PMLN government at the Centre and in Punjab for making electoral adjustments with the Ludhianvi’s party.
Ludhianvi, the ringleader of the mother of all terrorism in Pakistan, was part of a delegation of Difa-e-Pakistan Council who had met Chaudhry Nisar on the issue of suspension of the citizenships of the fourth schedulers including Ludhianvi.
Inquiry Commission on Quetta Carnage headed by Justice Faez Isa also criticized the federal interior minister among others for the terrorist attack. The Commission also raised question why Ch Nisar met Ludhianvi and why he allowed public meeting of his banned terrorist outfit in Islamabad.
Jamaat-e-Islami retorted saying that it was PMLN and its governments at the Centre and in Punjab that made alliances with the proscribed ASWJ hence they should not blame the JI for ASWJ activities.
It is also relevant to add here that Jamaat-e-Islami also became an ally of the proscribed ASWJ in the recent by-election to Punjab Assembly from Jhang district’s constituency PP-78 where JI backed Masroor Nawaz Jhangvi son of the founder of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba (now called ASWJ) that is the mother organization of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
