Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday visited Parachinar, the site of a deadly blast in vegetable market which killed 25 Shia Muslims and injured over 65 on Saturday.
It is relevant to add here that he is the first army chief in recent past that met with the Shia victims of terrorist attacks within a day and inquired about health of the injured victims.
COAS General Qamar Bajwa paid a visit to the injured of the blast at Agency Headquarters Hospital. He inquired about health of the injured.
Strict security arrangements were made in the city upon the Army Chief’s arrival.
Army chief said that sectarian harmony was a must for national unity. He said that all should assert their Pakistani identity because we all are Pakistanis.
