Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor said yesterday that Naureen Leghari was not a terrorist but was about to become one when she was saved by security sources.
During his press conference on the Dawn Leaks issue, the DG ISPR also spoke about medical student Leghari who had announced joining Daesh takfiri terrorist group. He said that she had been saved well before her kam umar (immature) mind was brainwashed by militants.
“Should we treat Naureen like a terrorist or release her so that she can tell others how she was trapped and used for terrorism?” he asked. “In this way, awareness will be created among the younger generation and parents as well as institutions,” he added.
It is relevant to add here that Naureen Leghari had confessed she had joined militants through her facebook post and she was caught red handed abetting the terrorists in Lahore and she married to one of the terrorists. Only judiciary is the proper forum to decide whether she is innocent or abettor but DG ISPR came forward to play the role of a judge, as well.
Pakistani nation likes armed forces very much whenever they play their role in their own domain but detest their unconstitutional role such as military takeover toppling civilian elected government or their meddling into affairs of other institutions such as executive and judiciary.
