29th anniversary of martyrdom of great Shia leader Allama Arif Hussaini being observed

His supporters and admirers are commemorating the 29th martyrdom anniversary of Allama Arif Hussain al Hussaini who was assassinated on August 5, 1988 at the time of Fajr prayers in Peshawar.

Shia parties have announced special programmes to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Allama Hussaini. Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organisation and Tehreek-e-Baidari-e-Ummat-e-Muslimah have chalked out their programmes, separately.
The ISO is hosting mourning congregations in all over Pakistan and main condolence conference is being held in Karachi.
Tehreek-e-Baidari’s leader Allama Javad Naqvi is to address his supporters at the place of martyrdom of Allama Hussaini today.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari-led MWM will hold the Mehdi Bar Haq Conference in Islamabad Parade Ground on Sunday in commemoration of Allama Hussaini.
Great martyr Allama Arif Hussaini was a revolutionary leader who struggled to attain the legitimate rights of all oppressed people of Pakistan particularly Shia Muslims. He led a Shia party that always advocated unity among all Muslims and downtrodden people of Pakistan. Allama Hussaini believed in peaceful political struggle and he announced participation in the political process including elections to attain the legitimate rights of Shia Muslims.
Almost all Shia parties who are active in mainstream politics inherit this legacy of Allama Hussaini since he gave this course of action to oppressed Shia Muslims of Pakistan. He is the architect of modern mode of Shia political struggle in Pakistan.
