Another Shia notable of Dera Ismail Khan embraced martyrdom due to firing of proscribed ASWJ terrorists on Sunday. The Shia Muslims’ martyrdom toll in this district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rose to 3 in three days as two Shia policemen were gunned down on Friday.
Mazhar Shirazi, a government employee, was knocked out of his house in Model Town DI Khan. As soon as he came out of the house, terrorists opened fire upon him. He embraced martyrdom.
His nephew Shahid Shirazi Advocate was martyred last year. Martyr Mazhar Shirazi was brother of Mushtaq Shirazi, former director of FIA.
Martyr Shirazi had hosted an annual mounring congregation (majlis-e-aza) at his home in Muharram every year inherting this legacy from ancestors who had been hosting this majlis for last 115 years.
Shia parties and leaders have condemned the targeted murders of this Shia Muslim in three days in Dera Ismail Khan and demanded capital punishment to the terrorists.
