Over 37 parties at All Shia Parties Conference vowed to counter nefarious designs of enemies through joint course of action with fellow Sunni Muslims.
The conference also asserted that Sunni and Shia Muslims were united against the terrorists and fanatics who wanted ban on the rallies of Azadari and Eid Milad ul Nabi (PBUH).
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, presided over the MWM-hosted ASPC, held in Lahore on Friday.
“The terrorists are being rewarded with negotiations, which is not acceptable to Pakistani nation. Award the capital punishment instead of appeasement, demanded the ASPC. It pledged that Sunni and Shia Muslims will foil all the plots of enemies and will defend every inch of the sacred land of Pakistan.
It said that Pakistani citizens would never bow to those terrorists who massacred Pakistani civilians and security forces personnel. It urged the government to remain loyal to ideology of state of Pakistan instead of prostrating before the notorious ferocious terrorists.
The conference said that Shia Muslims were disappointed because of ongoing pogrom against Shiites therefore the government and state institutions must take practical steps and hasten the hanging of terrorists and targeted military operation to eliminate the still at-large terrorists.
It rejected the sectarianism and the so-called code of ethics of Milli Yakjehti Council because that code has not taken into consideration the creeds of recognized schools of thought of Islam. The code itself is a conspiracy against the unity of Muslims. They warned the relevant quarters to desist from efforts to give such unjust code legal cover. They vowed that they would put legal, scholarly and mass resistance against all such efforts aimed at forcing Shiites to conversion.
The leaders of Shia parties rejected unanimously the partial and biased attitude of the government and a particular group since the attacks on Ashura procession in Rawalpindi. They condemned the witch-hunt against the innocent Shiites in Pindi case saying that victims are implicated in the false cases. They demanded immediate arrest of Molvi Amanullah, who parked off violence and attack on peaceful Ashura procession.
They said that Sunni and Shia Muslims would hold Chehlum and Eid Milad ul Nabi (PBUH)’s congregations and rallies and participate in these programmes jointly to counter and isolate the enemies.
