Rangers cops stormed into Mumtaz Stadium on Saturday and arrested Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s officials and workers who were making arrangements for Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) Conference.
Shiite News Correspondent reported here that among the arrested were Allama Mukhtar Imami, secretary general of the MWM Sindh chapter and 60 Shia youths.
They were making arrangements for the Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) Conference to be held on Sunday. Police and administration has withdrawn permission for the Conference but the MWM insists they would hold the anti-terrorism conference at all cost.
The witch-hunt against the MWM officials has sparked off stiff reaction from the Shiites across Pakistan who pressurized the MWM leadership to resort to protest.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, head of the MWM has called for a countrywide protest against the Sindh Government and Khairpur’s administration for their biased and pro-terrorist policies.
The MWM said that Taliban affiliate, banned Sipah-e-Sahaba/Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat was allowed to hold pro-terrorism conference in Khairpur but patriot and peaceful Pakistanis are not allowed to hold a conference that would be a referendum against the Yazidi takfiri terrorists.
