Biased General Manager of Pakistan Television (PTV) Karachi station cancelled special broadcast that is aired every year on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Bibi Fatima Zahra (AS), the beloved daughter of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), last apostle and Prophet of God.
Shiite News Correspondent reported here that General Manager PTV Karachi namely Zartaj Aziz instructed his subordinates not to air special programmes on Hazrat Fatima (AS) on her anniversary.
The biased decision evoked instant but stiff reaction from Shiites. On their behalf, eminent poet Dr. Rehan Azmi contacted the higher authorities of the PTV who assured him that they would do needful.
Since the PMLN Government has bowed to Wahhabi monarchy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such anti-Islam decisions are expected, commented an analyst.
On the other hand, Shia leaders and parties have condemned the PTV’s General Manager Zartaj Aziz for his blasphemous act. They demanded that he must be tried under blasphemy laws. They said that Hazrat Fatima Zahra (AS) is the most respected figure of Islam and all Muslims adore her for her piety and the fact that she is leader of all women in paradise, she is wife of Hazrat Ali (AS) and mother of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS) are leaders of youths in paradise.
