Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria (TNFJ) Pakistan’s provincial chapter delegation called on Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat to seek his role to remove hurdles in the way of azadari (sacred mourning) that Shia observe in commemoration of Ahl-e-Bait (AS)/martyrs of Karbala.
The TNFJ Punjab chapter delegation comprised of Allama Syed Hassan Kazmi, Mohsin Hamdani, Hussain Muqadassi, Zahid Abbas Kazmi, Aqeel Hussain Naqvi and other notables.
They apprised Punjab Minister Raja Basharat of problems being faced by azadars (mourners). However, TNFJ assured the PTI-led government of their support for government counterterrorism measures and all out support against terrorists.
Punjab Law Minister said that government was making all out efforts to ensure religious freedom as per Constitutional provisions. He said no citizen has any right to interfere into religious creeds of other citizens.
Raja Basharat assured the TNFJ leaders that he would try his best to address their grievances and in this regard he would meet Chief Minister and discuss these issues with him. He said government was acting upon National Action Plan through which terrorism would be eliminated altogether.
