Sunni cleric Imran Bashir meets Allama Javad at Shia Islamic seminary

Renowned Sunni religious scholar Molana Imran Bashir visited Jamia Urwatul Wusqa, a known Shia Islamic seminary in Lahore where he also called on distinguished Shia Islamic scholar Allama Syed Javad Naqvi.
Molana Imran Bashir praised Jamia Urwatul Wusqa (university) for its active role to establish and strengthen unity of Muslims.
“It is laudable that for the first time in Pakistan, and organized work is being done for unity of Muslims at Islamic seminary level although seminaries were misused and defamed for fake jihad,” he said.
The Sunni cleric further said that religious seminaries of Pakistan were defamed because of that reason. He said seminaries and mosques should be open for all Muslims sects. He said mosques are house of Allah therefore they must not be reserved for specific sect.
Allama Syed Javad Naqvi thanked him and told Sunni scholar that Jamia Urwatul Wusqa is open for all Muslims. He said unity of Muslims is a must to counter plots of common enemies. He said extremism and terrorism can also be eliminated through education.
