140 Wahhabi scholars issued a statement against Iran’s nuclear deal whose implementation began on Saturday.
In the statement, they warned against what they called “threat of Iran” and claimed that Muslim world’s main responsibility today is helping Muslims against that threat.
Wahhabism is the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia and freely preached by clerics in the Arab country.
It is the ideology of Takfiri terrorist groups such as Daesh (ISIL).
Iran and six world powers (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14, 2015 finalized an agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
On Saturday, January 17 Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini announced in a joint statement that the implementation of the nuclear deal has officially been started.
While peace-loving people in the world, especially Muslim nations, have welcomed the nuclear agreement, some reactionary regimes and their cronies have voiced opposition to it.
Interestingly, those most vehemently opposed to the agreement in the region are the Zionist regime of Israel and Saudi Arabia, both of which are known to have created and supported terrorist groups around the world.
