Shia Muslim leaders made this announcement during chehlum – 40th day mourning rituals held for martyred Shia leader Malik Alamdar Hussain in his native town Helan in Mandi Bahauddin (Punjab).

Malik Alamdar embraced martyrdom in a targeted terrorist attack when he left his house to offer Fajr prayers at mosque. He held license (permission) for Shia Islamic mourning procession/congregation.
Sunni Ittehad Council leaders Allama Qari Asad Waqar, Qari Riaz Asghar also spoke and expressed solidarity with Shia Muslims.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Punjab chapter leader Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi and other leaders condemned lack of action against terrorists and their facilitators.
They made clear that they would not sit with comfort prior to arrest of killers and their facilitators.
They said the authorities concerned had sought 10 days for arrest; hence they said they wait for 10 days and after that they would take out shroud rally.
Shia Islamic parties’ leaders reminded the government that they had held historic sit-in protest over Shia massacre in Quetta that resulted in ouster of failed Balochistan government.
Therefore, they asked Punjab government and Mandi Bahauddin administration to take their legitimate warning seriously and ensure immediate arrest of killers and facilitators.
They said they had to defer their protest time and again keeping in view the prevailing critical situation in the country that the opponents must not consider their weakness.
Meanwhile, Maulana Mazhar Abbas, Maulana Azhar Hussain, Malik Qamar Abbas, Maulana Safdar Hussain Safdari, S Imran Hyder Guddu Shah, Chaudhry Ghulam Raza Gondal addressed the mourners.
Moreover, Zakir Kaleem Abbas and Principal Baqir ul Uloom seminary Makhnanwali, Maulana Mazhar Hassan also spoke.
