Afghan local authorities said several blasts shook the cities of Kabul, Ghazni, and Jalalabad on Saturday as the presidential election got underway in the country.
An explosion also occurred at a polling station in Kandahar city in southern Afghanistan according to local media.
The incident happened on Saturday morning, when a car exploded near the University of Kabul, the Khaama Press News reported.
No one or group has claimed responsibility for the blast. And it is still unclear whether the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber or by remote control. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
