For the second time in less than one month, an armored vehicle stops right in front of a religious place and fires toxic teargas grenades directly at the door while citizens are gathered inside.
On Sunday evening, an armored vehicle fired teargas inside a religious place in Sanabis, west of the capital Manama, while Quran is being read inside. The hostile attack took place during the forces’ repression on the area as a collective punishment.
Al Wefaq National Islamic Society said the attack is within the regime’s continuous hostility against the citizen’s religious freedom and places of worship.
On February 23rd, 2014, an armored vehicle fired toxic teargas inside a religious place in Sar and left the area in clouds of teargas smoke causing suffocations among the citizens gathered inside.
The regime’s systematic and excessive use of toxic teargas in neighborhoods had led to the death of many, including children and elderly.
