Ayatollah Khamenei foresees end to dependence on oil revenues as the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution spoke at a meeting with IRGC.

Notably, members of the High Council of the Commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) called on him today.

The Supreme Leader noted the US sanctions on Iran oil sale under maximum pressure policy a short-term problem.  Because, in the long run, it has the benefit of breaking the dependence on oil revenues, he said.

Furthermore, Ayatollah Khamenei said that this tactical pressure helps Iran strategically. However,he  also admitted difficulties of people. Of course, people have difficulties in their livelihoods. But, if the authorities continue to act strongly, reasonably and persistently, it will surely impact on people’s lives and livelihoods.

Moreover, he reiterated that the Americans failed in their maximum pressure policy.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader referred that the US assumed the policy of Maximum Pressure on Iran would force Iran to compromise. On the contrary, by God’s grace and power, they learned maximum pressure only afflicted themselves with problems.

Notably, Ayatollah Khamenei cited that the US even began beseeching Iran and used their European friends as mediator. He also pointed to the US efforts to have a meeting of President Trump with Iranian counterpart in New York.

Most importantly, he declared US failure, saying the latter failed so far, and this policy would fail forever.
