Senior Army officials in Tehran dismissed the Israeli foreign minister’s warmongering threats, saying Iranian Armed Forces are fully ready to give a crushing response to any possible enemy threat and aggression, although the Zionists would never dare to approach Iran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army is fully ready to nip in the bud any threat in sea, on land or in the air,” Deputy Army Commander for Executive Affairs Brigadier General Mohammad Mahmoudi said on Monday.
He blasted Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s threatening remarks about the need for striking Iran’s nuclear installation, and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces are at such a level of preparedness and vigilance that not just the Zionist regime’s foreign minister, but even officials higher than him do not dare to put their threats into practice even in their throughts and imaginations, let alone action.
In relevant remarks last Wednesday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iran was unmoved by enemies’ war rhetoric due to its astonishing deterrent power, and specially because it had foreseen proper response for all possible scenarios.
He referred to Iran’s deterrence power and defensive capabilities to confront enemies’ threats, and said, “We have grown so much powerful that we don’t feel concerned about the enemy’s unwise attitude. We can go past any enemy scenario, and this has been proved in our contemporary history.”
Stressing that Iran would defuse any enemy plots and scenario, whether military threats or sanctions, Jafari said, “The US should find a way to survive and continue its endangered life, but we are surprised at the enemy’s insistence on costly and useless scenarios.”
He underscored that Iran’s strategies are strong and decisive.
The country had blocked enemies’ path to its cruel plots, he said, adding that Iran had a wide array of options and was capable of using these different options more than ever.
