Ayatollah Seyyed Jamal Eddin Din parvar, head of Nehjul Balagha International Foundation reviews over the lifestyle of Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam and cousin of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), saying that the first Shia Imam was the most important figure in bringing unity to Muslims and applauds the fatwa issued by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the most important landmark of last year.
He referred to several evidences in Nahjul Balagha manifesting the unifying role of Imam Ali (AS) and said, “Fatwa issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Aytaollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, clearly showed that the Iranian leader has set Imam Ali as his sample.” adding that there has not been even one remark by Ayatollah Khamenei that wages the differences between Shia and Sunni during the two decades of his leadership and this is a manifest of his following Imam Ali (AS).
“In an incident that was going to end to a catastrophe in the World of Islam, Fatwa by Ayatollah Khamenei was a timely remark that foiled the potential sedition.”
He stressed all Muslim denominations approve Imam Ali (AS) at least as one of the Kalifs after the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and this is the point which has not been noticed much while it can be a very important point to realize Islamic unity.Back to top button
Following the desecration of a the household of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by a Kuwaiti Shia cleric, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa banning any desecration of the Sunni sanctities and the household of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
The move has been widely welcome by Muslims from around the world counted as the most effective move to bring Shia and Sunni Muslims nearer to each other.
