Iran has arrested the team of terrorists who recently assassinated the prosecutor of the city of Zabol in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Balochistan.
The public Relations Department of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Monday that the terrorists were arrested in the course of a complicated intelligence operation.
In a separate interview, IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif rejected the terrorist group Jaish-ul-Adl’s claim of being responsible for the assassination and noted that drug smuggling groups were behind the attack.
On November 6, Zabol Prosecutor Musa Noori and his driver were attacked and killed by two unidentified terrorists on their way to work. The assailants fled the scene.
The attack came less than two weeks after fourteen Iranian border guards lost their lives and six more were wounded in an ambush terrorist attack in the border region of Saravan in Sistan andBaluchestan
