The chiefs of 500 Iraqi tribes, including Shia and Sunni, denounced US unilateral sanctions against Iran during a daylong conference in Baghdad where they condemned economic siege of nations.
The tribal leaders from around the country who came together in a daylong conference to voice their support to Adel Abdelmahdi government announced their opposition to economic siege of the nations.
They also underlined backing to the armed and popular forces for their struggles against the US attempts to destroy the counter-terrorism forces.
One of the participants told IRNA that tribal leaders are against the sanctions against the Muslim Iranian nation.
In a closing statement, the participants said that Iran has now reached a capability that nobody dares to threaten it.
The statement also stressed unity, integrity and peaceful coexistence among all segments of Iraq.
