Secretary-general of the Lebanese Hezbollah dismissed claims that Beirut port’s warehouse which exploded contained missiles or ammunition for Hezbollah.
“There are claims that Beirut port’s warehouse which exploded contained missiles or ammunition for Hezbollah. This claim is completely false and unfair,” Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in his televised speech on Friday.
Hezbollah knows about Haifa Port in Occupied Palestine more than Beirut port, he added.
Nasrallah also proposed tasking the Lebanese Army to hold the investigations into Beirut blast.
Lebanon incident must be addressed exceptionally
Secretary-general of the Lebanese Hezbollah said the blast disaster with human, social, and economic consequences must be addressed in a totally exceptional manner.
In his speech on Friday, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah described the Beirut blast as a huge disaster that follows huge and dangerous consequences.
Stressing that the incident needs exceptional interaction at all levels, Nasrallah noted that Hezbollah is at the disposal of the Lebanese government and nation with all its institutions, forces, and capabilities.
“We are ready to shelter and provide housing for homeless families,” he said.
