A group of over 100 Palestinian and Lebanese clerics held a meeting in the Lebanese city of Saida, condemning the American-Israeli plot of Deal of the Century.
The meeting, jointly held by Muslim Ulama Board and Palestinian Ulama Assembly in Lebanon, emphasized on keeping unity against the US plot of Deal of the Century and resisting Zionist enemy.
Further, the Palestinian and Lebanese clerics stressed the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland.
This is while, Bahrain capital city of Manamah will host a meeting on June 25 and 26 over the so-called Deal of Century, a meeting which has been boycotted by many Islamic and non-Islamic countries including Lebanon, Iraq, China, and Russia.
The White House advisor and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner on Saturday outlined a $50 billion Middle East economic plan which he hopes that wealthy Gulf states and nations in Europe and Asia, along with private investors, would foot much of the bill.
The deal, a backchannel plan to allegedly reach a peace settlement between Israel and the Palestinians, was proposed by the US administration late in 2017.
The US plan participated by some Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and UAE seeks to surrender the Palestinian capital of al-Quds to the Israeli regime, the Palestinians ousted from their country are banned to return to their homeland, and West Bank and Gaza Strip will be recognized as the only territories of Palestinian state.
The US plan started in December 6, 2017, with introducing the occupied East al-Quds as the capital city of Israel and moving Washington’s embassy there.
In May 2018, the United States officially announced the opening of its new embassy in al-Quds amid deadly Israeli crackdown on peaceful protests by Palestinians in the occupied territories.
