The Syrian Army inflicted heavy losses on Takfiri groups in surrounding areas of Damascus and Idlib provinces, claiming the lives of scores of militants.
The army troops stormed the hideouts of the rebels in the areas of Ein Tarma, Kifr batna, and al-Mlaiha in Damascus, leaving a great number of them dead and injured.
Also, the militants suffered major losses across the province of Idlib, as the Syrian Army made advances in its fight against the insurgents in Kafar Owaid, Qastoun, Kfar Roma, Jabal al-Akrad, al-Marana, Job al-Ahmar, and Ma’arat al-Numan.
Syria has been the scene of armed and bloody conflicts since March 2011. According to the UN’s latest report, more than 191, 000 people have been killed in the Arab country since the start of the battle. Countries like US and Saudi Arabia have played a significant role in promoting insurgency in the country by massive funding of the Takfiri-Wahhabi militants.
