Syria Army in Full Control of Vital Gas Factory in Homs

Syrian forces on Tuesday fully retook the control of Hayyan gas factory in the eastern parts of Homs province after inflicting major losses on Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorists.

The army troops are now busy defusing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) left behind by the terrorists.

Additionally, the Syrian government forces launched an offensive against the Takfiri Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra Front) in al-Ghanto-al-Halmouz roundabout in the southeastern area of Jabourin village, north of Homs, killing and injuring large groups of them.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL), currently controlling parts of it.

According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.
