Syrian Soldiers Repel ISIL’s Attack, Continue to Advance against Terrorists in Hama Province

The Syrian Army troops fended off a large-scale attack of the ISIL, while other units of the pro-government forces managed to advance against the terrorist group in hours of non-stop clashes.

The army men warded off large-scale assault of ISIL with tens of its members on Jadeed Fritan hill in Eastern Hama, killing at least 15 militants.

Meanwhile, the Syrian pro-government forces launched a fresh round of attacks to drive ISIL out of the town of Qalib al-Thor in Eastern Hama.

The army forces took back a strategic hill which overlooks the town, opening the way for more advances inside the vital town.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units shelled ISIL’s strongholds in the town of Morek in Northern Hama.

Also, the Syrian Air Forces bombed ISIL’s positions heavily in the village of Qalib al-Thor, inflicting several casualties on the terrorists.

Meanwhile, the army soldiers clashed with ISIL in the Eastern direction of the town of al-Salamiyah.

In relevant developments in the province on Tuesday, the Russian fighter jets targeted ISIL’s movements in Qastal gas field in Eastern Hama, destroying a missile Launchpad and killing a number of terrorists.

In the meantime, the Syrian Army troops, backed up by the Syrian and Russian fighter jets, clashed fiercely with terrorists in several areas in Aqayrabat region, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.
