The Syrian army repelled militants’ attacks from the demilitarized zone on Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, destroying the terrorists’ positions and killing 3 of their commanders.
The Syrian army units launched missile and artillery attacks against the terrorists’ moves near the village of al-Zakat and Kafr Zita, al-Arbaeen, al-Latamineh and Qal’at al-Maziq regions in Northern Hama on Thursday, smashing several military vehicles as well as the terrorists’ missile platform, and killing a number of militants, including two commanders of Ansar al-Tawhid namely Abu al-Farouq and Ibrahim Hamadi.
The army forces also pounded the positions and moves of several groups of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists from the villages of al-Shariah and al-Jamasah as well as Sahl al-Qab region towards the army-controlled areas in Northwestern Hama, destroying a number of their hideouts and killing several terrorists.
Meantime, a Syrian military source reported that one of the bases of Jeish al-Izza was destroyed during the army’s missile strikes on terrorists’ positions in Khan al-Sobol, Saraqib and Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib and a number of terrorists, including their commander, Majed al-Sayed, was killed in the attack.
In another incident on Thursday, the terrorists’ missile attacks against the village of Jurin in Northwestern Hama killed a child and injured 6 other civilians.
In a relevant development on Wednesday, the Syrian army’s missile and artillery units pounded the gatherings of Tahrir al-Sham and Ajnad al-Qafqaz terrorists in Southeastern Idlib and along Tavil al-Halib and al-Katibeh al-Mahjoureh near the regions under the control of the Turkish army.
The terrorist groups were preparing to launch massive attacks from several directions on the Syrian army, but the Syrian army inflicted heavy losses and casualties on the militants after foiling their attempted attack and forcing the remaining terrorists to retreat to the depth of the regions under their control in Southern and Southeastern Idlib.
In Northern Hama, the Syrian Army units also targeted the terrorists’ movements near the town of Mourek, killing a number of militants and making the rest retreat.
The Syrian Army troops also targeted and destroyed the positions and hideouts of terrorists in al-Karjat and Qaleh al-Maziq areas of Sahl al-Ghab, killing all the militants inside their hideout.
The Arabic-language service of the Russian Sputnik news agency, meantime, pointed to the attacks by Tahrir al-Sham and their allies on Northern Hama and Southern Idlib from the Ankara-backed monitoring points, and said that Ankara supports these terrorist groups in terms of supplying weapons and military equipment.
