The Syrian armed forces have continued operations in many provinces, killing dozens of militants and destroying their hideouts, weaponry and munitions.
In Aleppo, the army clashed on Wednesday with militants in the areas of Handrat, Akhtarin, Tal Rafaat, al-Bawabyeh, Tal Balat, Tal Alam, Khan al-Assal, al-Mansoura, al-Lairamon and al-Na’na’I, killing dozens of militants and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)’s reporter that the army units destroyed a vehicles’ depot along with all vehicles, weapons and militants in it in the areas of Hreitan, Ikhtarin and Tal Rafaat and targeted 30 other vehicles in Deir hafer, al-Marjeh and al-Zarba.
The source added that dozens of militants were killed or injured in clashes with the army in the areas of Hanano, Bani Zaid, al-Rashidin, al-Masaranyeh, al-Marjeh, Suleiman al-Halabi, old city, Karm al-Tarrab and al-Maysar.
An army unit targeted militant group in Oum Sharshouh village in Homs countryside, killing all of the group’s members and destroying a vehicle of theirs.
The army units also targeted militants’ gatherings in the areas of al-Rastan, Salam Gharbi, Ein Hussein and al-Saan, killing a number of militants and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
A military source said an army unit killed and injured many militants in the village of Nahla in Idlib countryside and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun.
The army units targeted militants’ gatherings in Khan al-Sheeh, Arat Zakyeh and a vehicle convoy heading from Bait Jinn to al-Meir area in Damascus Countryside (Rif Dimashq), eliminating a number of militants and leaving others wounded.
A military source said the army units clashed with militants near Aqairbat village in Hama countryside and killed and injured scores of them.
In Daraa, the army units targeted militants’ gatherings in many areas in Daraa al-Balad, killing scores of militants and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
A military source said the army clashed with militants in the areas of Kherbat Gazalleh, Inkhel, Tal al-Mutawaq, Tal Fadi and on Samlein-al-Thuraya road in Daraa countryside. Scores of militants were killed or injured in the process.
The army also targeted and destroyed a militants’ gathering near al-Naziheen Camp, killing many militants and destroying their weapons.
Fueled by Western-backed insurgents, violence has gripped Syria for more than three years, leaving an estimated 170,000 people dead and millions displaced.
According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies — especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey — are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
