Iranian diplomat meets senior officials in Pakistan visit

Assistant to Iranian Foreign Minister and Director General West Asia at Iran’s ministry of foreign affairs Seyed Rasoul Mousavi met ministers in Islamabad visit.
Most importantly, he has exchanged views with senior Pakistani officials on bilateral ties and regional as well as global issues.

The Iranian official held separate meetings with Pakistani Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Additional Secretary Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Furthermore, he also called on Ijaz Shah and Convener of Iran-Pakistan parliamentary friendship group in Pakistan’s National Assembly Syed Naveed Qamar.

In those meetings, Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost also accompanied the visiting official.

Meanwhile, both sides changed views on mutual cooperation and regional as well as global issues.
Seyed Rasoul Mousavi expressed Iran’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Pakistan on trade and border security.

Also, he assured Iran cooperation for expansion of border markets, easing travel facilities and parliamentary affairs.

Notably, Iranian official had also paid an official visit to Pakistani city of Quetta in May 2019. During that visit, he met with senior officials of Balochistan government, businessmen and tribal leaders.
