Pro Kashmir protesters face legal action in Bahrain for rally

Bahrain monarchy has initiated legal action against Pakistani and Bangladeshi supporters of Kashmiris for their protest rally.

That Bahraini action has saddened Muslims around the world, let alone Pakistanis or Bangladeshis. Because, both countries always supported Arabs and GCC countries.

Notably, India enjoys punitive measures against pro-Kashmiris protesters in Bahrain.

South Asians rallied in Bahrain against the Indian government’s decision to strip Jammu and Kashmir of its special status. They held rally after Eid prayers in Bahrain.

Furthermore, Bahrain interior ministry tweeted that local police had initiated legal proceedings against the protesters.

And later, Manama police referred the case to public prosecution.

Amazingly, the action came after Prime Minister Imran Khan called up the small and tiny island Bahrain’s monarch Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Pakistan prime minister apprised him of the situation in Kashmir.

Most importantly, he cited that India had revoked Article 370 ending special status to Jammu and Kashmir. And Indian decision also bifurcated the region into two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir and Laddakh.

Al Khalifa said that the government of Bahrain was closely monitoring the developments in Kashmir with deep concern.  But, action against pro-Kashmiri protesters proved emptiness of his concerns.
