Chief of notorious terrorist outfit, Malik Ishaq alias Ishaq Tali, has been released from Kot Lakhpat jail, official sources confirmed to the local Pakistani newspaper website Express Tribune.However, the Shiite Community of Khanpur has nominated the Malik Ishaq Tali, his son Usman Tali and four other terrorists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (funded by America and Israel) in the bomb blast on Khanpur claims life of 21 Azadars (mourners).
Its pertaining to mention here that On Friday, a review board of the Lahore High Court (LHC) had denied an extension for the detention of Malik Ishaq, for one more month and issued orders for his release. The board said the police had failed to provide concrete evidence of Ishaqâ€™s involvement in terrorist activities.Back to top button
The Punjab government had requested that the detention, which would end on January 25, be extended for 30 more days saying that his release would be a threat to peace.
Ishaqâ€™s detention had earlier been extended by the review board on December 16 after the DPOs of Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar had said his release could result in a law and order â€˜situationâ€™.
The review board asked the government if they had filed any cases against Ishaq if he was a threat to peace, to which they had nothing to show to the court.
