Eminent scholars sign during signature campaign for Shia missing persons. The campaign held in Multan.

The campaign held under the aegis of Joint Action Committee for Shia Missing Persons.

Specially, the prominent Shia Islamic scholars gathered at Imam Bargah Abul Fazl al Abbas to attend Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Imam Mehdi Convention.

Eminent scholars sign

On the sidelines of that, signature campaign also held where Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi and Dr Majid Raza Abidi from Karachi also signed.

Besides, MWM leader Allama Iqtidar, Jamia Shaheed Mutahri principal Allama Qazi Nadir Alvi and Al Mukhzin Editor Ghulam Shabbir Hyderi also signed.

Furthermore, Allama Nasir Sibtayn Hashmi, Qazi Waseem Abbas, Altaf Hussain Shah Zawwar Hussain Bismal and other eminent scholars also singed.

Moreover, their signatures meant their support to the demand for release of all Shia missing persons.

However, missing persons remain a vague term for enforced disappearance. Hence, the protesters demand for end to enforced disappearance.

Backgrounder

The said camaign held in continuation of ongoing campaign which the affected families and their supporters run to exert moral pressure on the captors.

Furthermore, the campaigners also distributed pamphlets regarding illegal and undeclared detention of innocent Shia notables.

Meanwhile, people signed the demand for release of those subjected to enforced disappearance immediately.
