Iran’s embassy in Pakistan opened a condolence book to pay homage to IRGC Quds force commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani.

Besides, other foreign ambassadors and senior diplomats and officials also signed the condolence book.

These Pakistanis and non-Pakistanis have expressed their sympathy with the people and the government of Iran on the tragedy.

Pakistan Peoples Party leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari who also served Pakistan as Senate Chairman also visited embassy to offer condolences.

Moreover, ambassadors of Afghanistan, Russia, Indonesia, Iraq and Syria visited the Iranian embassy to sign the condolence book.

Deputy Head of the Iranian Mission Mohammad Sorkhabi was also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Iranian flag had also flown half-mast at the embassy as a sign of respect to the victims of US targeted airstrikes in Baghdad.

Earlier, Iranian consulates in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta had also opened condolence book to honor General Soleimani.

Awami National Party leader Iftikhar Hussain who had served Pakistan as minister also paid tribute to martyr Qassem Soleimani.

The US military assassinated IRGC Quds force commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani in illegal airstrikes near Baghdad airport.

The illegal US military attack also assassinated Deputy Commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) known as Hash al-Shaabi, Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes.

However, Iran also gave a crushing response by reducing US bases in Ain al Assad airbase in Iraq.
