Jannatul Baqi demolition anniversary observed
Mourning and protest gatherings held in Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Gilgit Baltistan, Parachinar.
Allama Ali Akbar Kazmi led one such protest gathering outside Islamabad Press Club.
While speaking to the protesters, he expressed concern over sacrilege of historical and sacred shrines, tombs and graves in Jannatul Baqi graveyard.
Allama Iqtidar Naqvi and Allama Qazi Nadir Alvi led the Jannatul Baqi rally in Multan from Ghanta Ghar chowk to Fawwara Chowk.
The participants and speakers condemned Saudi monarchy and their sectarian zealots over razing shrines and ruining graves.
Moreover, they said that Saudi regime don’t repent and continue desecration of Jannatul Baqi graveyard with only sands after demolishing tombs and running graves.
Protesters also carried placards and banners and raised slogans demanding revival of Jannatul Baqi.
Meanwhile, they condemned desecration of grave of Omar bin Abdul Aziz.
However, they made clear that particular sectarian group (Saudi Wahhabism and takfiri Deobandis in subcontinent) preached this ideology.
Furthermore, they expressed surprise over hue and cry of such sectarian denominations over desecration of Umar bin Abdul Aziz’s grave because same sect terrorists exploded shrines of Muslim saints in Pakistan.
