Government has to play its role against genocide of Shia Muslims

DI Khan Confrance 01A Wahdat-e-Ummat Conference was held in Kotli Imam Hussain Dera Ismail Khan on chehlum of martyr Malik Ghulam Ahmed. A number of religious scholars, members of matami sangat and anjumans and notables attended the conference.

Those who spoke at the conference were: Allama Mohammad Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, information secretary MWM Nasir Sheerazi, Punjab chapter’s deputy secretary general Maulana Asghar Askari, former advisor to chief minister NWFP (now Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa) Maulana Ramzan Tauqeer, former senator Abbas Kumaili, Maulana Khursheed Anwar Javadi, principal of Jamia Asgharia, Sahibzada Sher Mohammad of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Zahid Muridullah advocate of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Shaukat Ali of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Malik Rehan of PMLN, ISO’s Brother Taqi.

These speakers highlighted the importance of martyrs and martyrdom. They urged unity among Muslims in Pakistan and all over the world. They said that Pakistan was facing foreign conspiracies. They said that some miscreants want to create lawlessness and law and order problems. They said that Dera Ismail Khan, Parachinar and Gilgit had become the places of carnage of Shia Muslims.

“It is obligatory on the government that government has to play its due role against the terrorists.”

They demanded that a fool proof course of action must be chalked out to defeat terrorism and terrorists and thwart them altogether.

Earlier, Allama Shaheedi, speaking at a press conference, condemned the target killing and genocide of Shia Muslims and said it is a conspiracy. He demanded that concrete steps be taken to stop it.

He condoled with the family members of Malik Ghulam Ahmed. Matami Anjuman recited nohas at the end of the conference.
