Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, central spokesman for Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has said on Wednesday that March 25th Quran wa Ahl-e-Bait (A.S.) Conference will be a congregation of unity of Shia Muslims.
He said that preparations for the conference were underway. He said that publicity campaign of the conference was launched. Posters and banners are being displayed in all over Sindh and in particular in Karachi city. He said wall-chalking campaign was also in progress but government machinery’s biased attitude and policies also continued.
He expressed concern over the reports that posters and banners were removed in some parts of the city. He said eyewitnesses saw removal of posters and banners in Jamshed Town, Sadar Town and Gulberg Town. He said that they had informed the government that people boarding a vehicle No. 7768 was busy removing the posters and banners. But, no action has so far been taken against them.
Mr. Naqvi said that such cheap tactics cannot help anyone gagging Shia Muslims. He asked MWM’s members to display two banners and two posters in the areas where one banner and poster is removed.
He urged the commissioner Karachi to take immediate action against all those removing posters and banners and impeding MWM’s publicity campaign.
