Shia Muslims observe martyrdom anniversary
Great martyr Allama Arif Hussain al Hussaini led the rights struggle to attain the legitimate rights of all oppressed people of Pakistan particularly Shia Muslims.
He led a Shia party that always advocated unity among all Muslims and downtrodden people of Pakistan.
Allama Hussaini believed in peaceful political struggle. He announced participation in the political process including elections to attain the legitimate rights of Shia Muslims.
However, his ideology puts everything under the lens of Shia Islamic principles and jurisprudence.
Hence, he believes in democracy and participation in electoral politics in accordance with Islamic principles.
Almost all Shia parties who are active in mainstream politics inherit this legacy of Allama Hussaini because he gave this course of action to oppressed Shia Muslims of Pakistan.
He is the architect of modern mode of Shia political struggle in Pakistan.
But he was not the first Shia Islamic leader. He succeeded veteran pious Shia Islamic leader and scholar Ayatollah Mufti Jafar Hussain.
Prior to that, Syed Mohammad Dehlvi also led rights struggle for the legitimate Shia Islamic rights.
