The complainant Tehsin Kharal said Bilal Tahir Ashrafi had paid him fake currency notes amounting Rs52,63,000.

Police began conducting raids to nab Bilal Tahir Ashrafi and two other accomplices of him.

Bilal’s father Tahir Ashrafi had begun his takfiri clerical career from the platform of outlawed Sipah Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

He belonged to notorious terrorist Malik Ishaq-led Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, mother of all terrorism in Pakistan. Tahir Ashrafi had close friendship with Malik Ishaq (ASWJ-LeJ) and Sipah Sahaba (ASWJ’s) ringleader Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi.

Later, he developed differences and ASWJ-LeJ called him Drum of Filth due to his role. He also misused the platform of Pakistan Ulema Council.

Tahir Ashrafi has no respect for Islamic laws and he violated Islamic laws publicly. He was found drunkard many a times. He also got foreign funds.

Due to these reasons, his council also had sacked him but Tahir Ashrafi used his close relations with Saudi Wahhabi monarchy and regained his lost position and prestige.

During those days, the General Secretary of Pakistan Ulema Council Zahid Mehmood Qasmi has said “if someone wants to see the character and personality of the ruler of Syria Muawiya, son of Abu Sufyan, during today’s chaotic era, he should see Tahir Ashrafi.”
