SIndh Police on Sunday claimed that they have arrestedÂ four terrorists involved in the Ashura bomb blast in the metropolis, which claims more than 45 lives of mourners of Imam Hussain (AS) and more than 100 were injured. According to the Shiite News correspondent, In a news conference at Central Police Office Karachi, City police chief officer Karachi Waseem Ahmed said that the four alleged terrorists belong to the banned outfit Jundullah which has links with the Tehrike-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Al-Qaeda. Intelligence agencies held them two days ago from Bin Qasim town in connection with the Karachi blast. The arrest was being made with the help of mobile phone SIMs, recovered from the site of the blast . Detainees include mastermind Qari Ahmed and three of his accomplice. Explosives have also been recovered from their possession. The accused terrorists were held with the help of mobile phone SIMs. The police chief said that those arrested are: The group leader, Murtaza alias Shakil, Shakaif Khan, Wazir Muhammad and Murad Shah. He said a bomb was also recovered on the information of the accused. Wasim said that the police had been monitoring activities of the group members after the attack and arrested them after collecting enough evidences.â€œIt was a challenge for the Karachi police and we worked day and night to reach the suspects,â€ he said. The police chief said that Karachi had been peaceful over the past one year and the police arrested 66 terror suspects and killed 6. It may be noted that Jundullah had also been accused of involvement in an attack on the convoy of corps commander.
