Secretary General Majlis Wahdate Muslimeen (MWM) Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has said that he is ready to sacrifice for the unity of Shia community in Pakistan.
MWM can withdraw from the elections of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) If Syed Rahat Hussain Al-Hussaini asks MWM to remove its all candidates from all constituencies in the upcoming general elections for the Legislative Assembly, he said.
He was speaking at the death anniversary of Imam Khumeni and remembering of 1988-incident, held in Gilgit.
Allama Abbas said that Shia community in the country had moved out through crucial time; now Shia leadership required taking bold step for the betterment of the nation. This time diplomatic statements or so-called politics deteriorate the standing of the Shia nation in GB, he said, and reiterated that MWM ready to make strong alliance against those forces who clandestinely opposed progress of GB and its people.
Talking about Islami Tehreek of Pakistan, he said that MWM owned ability to make alliance with any Shia party, including Islami Tehreek of Pakistan.
“I respect Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi. He is my elder. Syed Rahat Hussain Al-Hussaini called Shia leaders, including Allama Naqvi and me, in a meeting to convince them for making a grand alliance in the upcoming elections. MWM respects the proposal of Aga Rahat for proposal, and ready to make any alliance with any Shia party,” he said
