Pakistan approaches Saudi Arabia to confirm anti-War Analyst Zaid Hamid prison sentence

Pakistan has asked Saudi Arabia for consular access to analyst and commentator Zaid Hamid, the Foreign Office said on Thursday. “Pakistan embassy has approached the Saudi authorities to confirm the sentence awarded to him and has also asked for consular access to Zaid Hamid,” Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said, during his weekly press briefing in Islamabad.

On Wednesday, media reports suggested Hamid has been sentenced for eight years in jail and 1,000 lashes by a Saudi court for criticising the Saudi government. The analyst was arrested in the kingdom last week during a private visit. On June 26, the Foreign Office confirmed Hamid had been arrested in Saudi Arabia.

The Anti-War Analyst Of Pakistan Mr Zaid Hamid was detained by the Saudi-sheikhdom On June 26 when he was performing the Ummrah rituals in Saudi-sheikhdom. The saudi-puppet Nawaz Government has not shown its interest on the release of Senior Defense Analyst Zaid Hamid from Saudi illegal custody. Zaid Hamid on his several program expressed his deep concern on the corruption of Saudi regime on Islamic-Wealth and Saudi aggression on oppressed people of Yemen.

Its pertaining to mention here that Zaid Hamid is not a Saudi Citizen; if his comments objectionable against regime then he should be expelled from Saudi-Sheikhdom “Persona Non Grata”
